was born from an album I made (as a hobby) back in 2012: the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) used in psychiatry, converted into music in a humorous way. Each song was titled after one of the 14 pathologies and performed with the symptoms, the music (arrangements by the great Gianni Gandini), and the patient’s interpretation—always me. The goal was a lighthearted self-diagnosis (I wrote a thesis on the use of humor in individual psychotherapy) of certain character traits we can all develop overnight, thanks to hitting our head against a door or, more often, just by getting older.
Now that I’m in my senior years, I’ve decided to take the DSM in music around the world (there will soon be English versions of the tracks that need them), thus combining 35 years as a psychotherapist, 35 years as a comedian and author, and 45 as a musician, having started playing before I started drinking.
THE NEWS is that for a few years now, I’ve been writing songs about PERSONALIZED DISORDERS—just send me your symptoms.
By your request (for free, obviously), I’ve already created: “Emotional Fugitive Disorder,” “Joining a Civil Action Against the Husband Disorder,” “Fleeting Enthusiasm Attack Disorder,” “Social Media Attack Disorder,” “The Rich Man I Am Not Disorder,” “If I Were There Disorder,” etc., after you kindly sent me your symptoms. Thank you. You can listen to everything on the site, in “Short” or “Long” versions, but recorded live.
Since I plan to take these around the world and across Italy in a camper—and because of Putin, I’ll be giving a lot of money to the EU to buy slingshots—YOU CAN FUND ME as if I were the EU. The difference is that I’ll use the money to counter the dominance of Artificial Intelligence by putting farmers into the servers; no matter what you ask them, they’ll rotate between these answers: “hoe, eat, sleep, fuck.”
